The first International Mathematics Competition (IMC) took place in 1994 and since then it has been recognized as a challenging and motivating world-wide event for undergraduate students. Every respected European university has taken part in the IMC at least once. For details visit the official website - http://www.imc-math.org/.
The competition consists of two days and each day there are 6 problems for 5 hours. Comparing with the IMO, the problems are generally easier, though they require some university-level knowledge such as Algebra, Analysis and Topology.
